Have you ever thought that...
we wouldn't need to hope, if...
we never had to wait?
The two are intrinsically tied together.
The word hope is used approx. 141 times in the Bible.
Some of my favorite hope verses:
"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." Ps. 31:24
"Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy." Ps.33:18
"Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be." Rom.4:18
" Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
Rom. 5:1-5
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through power of the Holy Ghost." Rom. 15:13
